Environmentalist and Rocker Eddie Vedder Weds in Hawaii
Most of us know him as the front man from
Pearl Jam, one of the most successful rock bands stemming from the grunge days.
What some of you may not know is that Eddie Vedder is a huge supporter of ocean
conservation and a big environmentalist too.
Vedder
married his longtime girlfriend, Jill McCormack in Hawaii on the 18th.
This is the second marriage for Vedder and the first for McCormack. They have
two young girls ages six and two.
Being into ocean conservation for years, it
is no surprise to see who some of the wedding guests were either. Jack Johnson
was in attendance at the nuptials that took place in Oahu on Saturday as well as
Laird Hamilton, Gabriella Reese, and Kelly Slater to name a few.
Many environmental enthusiasts know that
Slater and Vedder have teamed up before to raise funds for the Kelly Slater
Foundation. Jack Johnson is no stranger to ocean conservation either.
Vedder
himself has said that half of each song he writes is done while he is in the
water. Talk about a great life, conserving the environment you love and sharing
the gift of music all in one.
What a
better setting than a beautiful beach in Hawaii to share the moment.
Congratulations to Eddie and Jill.
